“Sonnenland” is the brand name for a very high-quality three-layer convertible top material with a highly lightfast outer fabric made of polyacrylonitrile (Dralon) and butyl rubber interlining. It is used as standard by BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche and remains “like new” for many years.

Material and properties

Sonnenland® canopy fabric: Three-layer fabric with abrasion-resistant surface and medium rubber layer
100% waterproof: thanks to special, hydrophobic (water-repellent) sewing thread
Low maintenance: No impregnation necessary—the rubber layer prevents water from penetrating.
Highly lightfast Dralon: Does not fade, retains its original colour permanently

· Ready to install for adjustment: All main and side seams relevant for pre-assembly have already been professionally finished.

Scope of delivery

Oversized hood: This hood is supplied as a raw hood – with an excess of approx. 20 mm over the door windows for precise adjustment by your car upholsterer. All necessary reinforcements, the edging tape and matching thread are included in the scope of delivery.
Permanently sewn-in rear window
Without rods and seals – these are taken from the original or can be purchased separately in our shop.
